They say that when you create a brand you should focus on what you love. For us that was easy. We love dogs. And boutique hotels.
What started as a pet project in 2012, Hotel Doggy was a fun way for Nancy Dennis to combine her years of expertise in fashion and trend forecasting with her passion for four-legged friends. The vision? Simple, stylish sweaters and coats — we are Canadian, afterall — designed like a hug for your dog. And so, from the basement of her home, the brand was born, and Hershey, her favorite pup, became the perfect petwear muse.
Today, Hotel Doggy has gained an international following, and grown to include HD Studio. The sister collection of smart and modern pet beds and furnishings takes dog love to the next level.
In 2020, our sweet Hershey passed on. Luckily we found a new brand ambassador with just as much wag, Marty, (named after his favourite director of course), to join the squad. Together we form a small but mighty team of tight-knit creatives. Based out of Montreal and Toronto, we work with a very select group of global production partners to make every design just right. And when it comes to giving back, we use the same approach. Every year we partner with one special charity to provide the most meaningful impact we can.

While we’ll always be extremely passionate about our pups, we also don’t take ourselves too seriously. That’s just part of our DNA. Because at Hotel Doggy, we know we’re extraordinarily lucky to love what we do — and to love the people  and pets we do it for.
